Learn to code for free – freeCodeCamp.org

Hello friends. In this post I want to discuss a great resource for learning how to code online FOR FREE! That resource is called freeCodeCamp.org

As the name implies, the main focus of freeCodeCamp is empowering people to learn how to code for free. With video lecture on YouTube, articles, self published books, hands on labs in the training, and forums for help freeCodeCamp has it all.

FreeCodeCamp has an expanding list of free certificates you can earn on their website, and as of August of 2023 freeCodeCamp has collaborated with Microsoft to offer a free professional certification “the Foundational C# Certification”. Pretty cool!

Not only is this a great resource for those wanting to learn how to code for the first time, but is also a good resource for those wanting to stay current with the latest web technologies. I would suggest signing up to the weekly newsletter. I am not great at visiting the site for the latest and greatest but the once a week email gets me excited to see the new offerings. For example, I saw freeCodeCamp now has a tutorial on how to “build your own AI Software-as-a-Service platform”

Learn to build your own AI Software-as-a-Service platform. In this intermediate course, you'll code an app where your users can drag in a PDF and immediately start chatting with an AI about the document. Along the way, you'll learn how to use Next.js, Tailwind CSS, and OpenAI's API, and Stripe's API. And you'll even learn how to deploy your app using Vercel. How crazy is that!? All for free!

But don’t take my word for it. Click on over to freeCodeCamp.org and create an account. Check out all the offerings. You may find it’s the right way for you to learn.
